NO MORE BOXES

EMBRACE POSSIBILITY

Thank you for bearing with me as I share a thought.
People often make broad generalizations about others based on very few factors. Everyone is guilty, and all have been victims, of this very human tendency. We even do it to ourselves. Seems safe to say that this behavior does not have any redeeming qualities. It is cruel and can be stifling. No one appreciates being put in a box.

I often find boxes as being very sharp and narrow as if I’m balancing on a beam above nothingness without an ending to the length of the beam. I can always see it growing as I take a step, and that is all that I can see. I wonder if taking a step off will hurt and i habitually say it will ache, but balancing between the edges of opinion always takes more effort than free falling into the comfort of the unknown. It feels nice to grow. It’s beautiful to find yourself. Retrace the habitual thoughts and inside opinions and gaze from the other side of the box. Peer out and glamorize what you can’t see. But look in and ponder how you can grow to adopt the glamorous unknown
That’s how this piece makes me feel

I really love your endless beam metaphor, especially the part about staying on the beam being harder than just freefalling. It creates very powerful imagery in my mind. I too have come to find "the comfort in the unknown". Growth is absolutely beautiful.

Thank you for sharing!
