MY VISION

When the idea to create my shop weaseled its way into my thoughts, I wanted to challenge myself and sell more than just prints. But I am an artist, not a fashion designer or salesman. For this reason the only way to approach clothing and product design was as an artist. This felt a little tricky though. After all, my artwork is highly emotional and often rooted in some pretty heavy topics. This discouraged me but then I realized something. None of us can avoid the harsher realities of life and that makes somewhat melancholy looking art relatable, right?

Thank you,

Art is a survival instinct and loyal friend.
Introspective conversation with this reliable companion make it possible to navigate the complexities of life.
Existence can be a thick fog of abstract questions. Often, you call out for answers, but all you receive in return is an echo offering new, equally abstract questions.

I ask myself, What if the truth of my existence is suffering?
Line becomes form. Chaos, confusion, pain, and the unknown manifest as colors. The air begins to clear with each creation, bringing a sigh of relief. But the exhale thickens the fog and spawns another question.
What if suffering exists to show me truth?

Process is a teacher and guide. It clears the mind and provides  a deeper understanding of life's difficult questions.
Art is choosing not to be lost but to lose yourself.

Art is a friend and survival instinct. The creative process is an introspective conversation with your most loyal companion as you work hard to learn and navigate life together. Existence can be a thick fog of abstract questions. Attempts to survive your way through it are often met by echoes of equally abstract questions.

What if humankind lives only to suffer? reverberates within, turning chaos, confusion, pain, and the unknown into colors. Line becomes form and it feels like coping. For a moment the air clears. A sigh of relief comes with every new creation and the exhale spawns another question. What if suffering exposes truth?

Process is a teacher. With it comes a deeper understanding of the hypotheticals we encounter.
